You can complete one of your workouts at the gym and the other outdoors if you would prefer to avoid going to the gym twice.

Counting your calories helps you stay more fit. By counting the calories you consume each day, it can help you lose weight. Consuming a reduced amount of daily calories and exercising on a regular basis will help you get fit quickly.

If you want to strengthen your forearms, consider this excellent suggestion from racquetball and tennis players. Lay out a piece of newspaper on a table or other flat surface. Use only your dominant hand to crumple the paper into a ball for about 30 seconds. Once you have done two reps with your writing hand, switch to your other hand and do this once, then switch back to your dominant hand for two more reps.

Don't do crunches as your sole abdominal exercise. A university study has shown that it takes a quarter million crunches to burn a single pound of fat. Thus, crunches alone are clearly insufficient. Find other, more strenuous ways, to work those abdominal muscles.

Do not simply complete a workout understand how to do it correctly to get the full effect. By learning all you can about fitness, you can get more out of working out. It doesn't matter if you're an athlete or just doing light exercise. Utilize all that you have read above, and you'll soon discover that you'll be in the best shape of your life.
